Pink sprinkle of spring

Palais des Papes from Villeneuve lez Avignon
You've got to love almond trees - in a countryside still heavily marked by the harsh nakedness of winter they are the first trees in the region to tell us that spring is on its way.

This is a beautiful setting. It looks like something out of a travel bureau.

such a pretty flower for spring. I am enjoying your photo and have signed on as a follower. And in answer to your question, I will take some saguaro flower photos this Spring and post them. Maybe I will try at night to get a bat photo with a saguaro flower but that may be too difficult. We'll see. A challenge indeed. I will need a very tall ladder to get the flower photos.

i smile at people who give some words of comfort to people in despair, they often compare life with seasons, they talk about hope for better days of spring and summer.

There is no element of hope or doubt Nathalie, you know very well that the spring is coming.
i will not say i hope to see some good pictures of spring on your page, i know very well that i will see some lovely pictures of spring here.
Enjoy the season Nathalie.

And Spring will not forget to visit Avignon.

That wasn't very nice of you, Nathalie!!!

To show us spring pictures from almond blossoms - and in my part of the world we still have temperatures around 0°C with snow and rain today...

;-))

Enjoy your great weather and have a nice and pleasant weekend!!

Oh, yeah, baby- turn! turn! turn!

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time to build up,a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones, a time to gather stones together

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace, a time to refrain from embracing

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time to love, a time to hate
A time for peace, I swear its not too late

Adore that second photo. Oddly we don't seem to have almond trees here or perhaps I don't see them for the mimosa! Your tree and its close-up is divine.

And now I know - HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEAREST NATHALIE! Have a wonderful day. I wish you were here so we could go to the Hotel de Paris for a glass of champers...! Next time.

The first photo in this post has a magical quality about it. It looks like it is from a fairy tale. Beautiful, Nathalie.
